It takes more than one game to find your flow; to connect body and soul. The goal is to keep trying; not giving up. Keep working to improve your game, don't give up your dreams; it takes several attempts. Keep buying the game and you will see progress; be persistent with your dreams and you will see that they are possible.

my first capoeira class

No, i'm not talking about the very first capoeira class that i took, but my first capoeira class after i got hospitalized. when i read the sick certificate, it said i only need 3 days to get some rest after released from the hospital. i got out of the hospital on may 18th so that means i need to take a rest until may 21th. so i decided to take capoeira class on may 22th. i was very excited since it was going to be my first time practicing capoeira with my corda.

May 22th, i was late when i got to GKU Timur (where we usually had our capoeira class). i think the class had already started for like 30 minutes so i had to do the warm up by myself. i had no idea what kind of warm up i should do, so i asked fininho (my instructor). he told me to do cocorinha and cadeira. so i did what i was told, cocorinha, cadeira to the left, back to cocorinha and cadeira to the right. i was supposed to do that 20 times in a row, but i got tired so i took 5 seconds every once in a while.

After i was finished with the cadeira-cocorinha thing (i didnt do it 20 times), i joined the roda with other people. But, not long after that, i felt my head spinning around. i stayed in the roda but the longer i waited, the stronger my vertigo became (not sure it was vertigo, though). then i decided to get out of the circle. i couldn't walk normally, i staggered (and i was told that my friends were betting on me, whether i would fall down or not). Graduado fininho run (or walk) after me, just in case i fell down (there were stairs so it was pretty dangerous).

I thanked God i didn't fall nor pass out (well if i had passed out, it would have been my first pass out experience). A friend of mine, Heny, got me water then i felt a lil bit better. Instead of training capoeira, i sat on--that 50 cms wall surrounding plants and grass, not sure what to call it--watching my friends play. that was kind of upsetting. i thought my first capoeira class would be awesome but seemed like things didn't really go according to plan (okay, honestly i didnt plan anything, lol). But hey, that wasn't really my first capoeira class. that didn't count because i didn't even finish the warm up. So, im gonna take another class this Saturday and its going to be legen--wait for it--dary, lol.

Peace out :)
